For the fourth week running Lloyd Daniels is the favourite to be eliminated from The X Factor, with Betfair customers making him odds-on at 8-11 to receive the fewest public votes.
The Welshman has evaded the chop by the skin-of-his-teeth in recent rounds, yet with contestants now having to sing twice for the public, punters are as convinced as ever that round eight will prove to be his swansong.
Danyl Johnson (14-5) is the next most likely to leave, while Olly Murs will be tested as he looks to recover from the shock of being placed in last week’s bottom two, though his odds to be axed are a reasonably secure-looking 15-2.
According to the betting, Stacey Solomon (24-1) and Joe McElderry (31-1) would appear to be safe, although all eyes will be on the 18-year-old McElderry to see how he copes with going into the weekend as the 7-4 favourite to win the show.
Betfair spokesman Ari Last said: “For three rounds now, Lloyd has emerged unscathed despite being the favourite for elimination. This week however, with two songs to sing and no judges’ vote to save him, the game does appear to be up for a contestantwhom, to be fair, has already outstayed his welcome.”
