Kinda Easy looks the value bet at 7-1 to land tonight’s Sky televised Coral Champion Stakes at Romford (9.45).
Mark Wallis’s son of Just the best has a bit to find on the clock with market leaders Go Big Hitter and Westmead Tina but his trainer is a master at getting his charges to find that bit extra when it comes to the big finals.
Although beaten by Westmead Tina in the semi-finals, Kinda Easy showed terrific early pace and only got picked up on the run-in.
He looks well house in Trap 4 to lead up the wide runners, and with the possibility of Go Big Hitter (T1) and Bubbly Rambo (T2) coming together at the first bend there must be every chance of Kind Easy leading at the first and poaching a decisive winning lead.
Westmead Tina (T6) is definitely a bitch to fear if getting a clear run, but she is a habitual slow starter and the selection will hopefully be away and gone before she goes into overdrive.
Therefore the 7-1 on offer with Hills about Kinda Easy, Coral and Paddypower go only 9-2, looks terrific value in a trappy contest.
Others worth a punt on the Sky card are Ardbeg Kate in the 7.40 and Melodys Comet in the 8.15.
The former puts her unbeaten record on the line from Trap 1 and showed sizzling early pace in a trial at the track after going close to beating the track record over 380m at Crayford in the Rose Bowl. At 6-4 with Blue Square and Coral she simply has to be backed.
The withdrawal of Danbury Dodger in the marathon at 8.15 should ensure that Melodys Comet (T2) can grab the rails at the first and use his back straight pace to go into an unassailable lead. The 11-8 on offer this morning will surely not last long as some firms go 8-11 about the son of Top Honcho.
Recommended bets: 3pts win Kinda Easy 9.45 Rom (7-1 Hills); 6pts win Ardbeg Kate 7.40 Rom (6-4 Blue sq, Coral); 5pts win Melodys Comet 8.15 Rom (11-8 Blue Sq, Coral, Hills)
