It's semi-final time for the Sussex Cup at Hove this evening and we are in a handy position with both our ante post picks bidding to reach Tuesday's final. The added bonus is that Ballymac William and Ballymac Rumble have been drawn in separate heats. William is now five from five over C&D, and he is well odds on to maintain a perfect record. Rumble went down in a close finish last week, but can be backed at 6/4 for tonight's heat. We need to be in the first two to qualify, but fully expect us to continue our good run and be doubly represented for the final live on Sky. There is a cracking supporting card tonight, with heats for Tuesday's supporting finals and competitions for sprinters, bitches and puppies.
Although only 11/4 for outright honours in the bitches event, Special Liberty is worth getting stuck into with sponsors Coral. She has a 29.61 on her card and looks a shoe-in tonight from trap 2. If you have not backed Ballymac William at the advised 4/1 for the Sussex Cup, I suggest you take the 11/4 about him with Coral as he will trade around 5/4 for Tuesday's final if all goes well tonight.
