Victor Chandler have once again been lefting counting the cost after Tom Watson’s hole-in-one at the sixth this morning.
The firm offered to pay out on any player backed pre tournament as "a winner" if they got an ace, and Watson made it early pay-out number two following Duston Johnson's hole-in-one at the 16th yesterday
VC spokesperson Charlie McCann said: “One lucky customer had £50 at 500-1 on the wonderful former Open Champion Tom Watson and if Dustin Johnson’s ace was popular and costly this hurts even more. With four par 3’s on the course and two and a half more days to come how many more “winners” will we end up paying out on before Sunday evening?”
