Vinnie odds-on for Big Bro as Sov goes

Vinnie Jones is the undisputed favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother, according to Betfair customers who now have him at an odds-on 4-6 to triumph.

The eviction axe fell tonight on Lady Sovereign who was odds-on to go beforehand, leaving nine housemates vying for the prize.

However, there’s only one person looking likely to win it.

Intriguingly, Jones' nearest challenger is Alex Reid (8-1), whose popularity is seemingly on the rise. Nicola Tappenden (9-1), who survived this evening, is another whose odds have shortened recently, while Sisqo (12-1), Dane Bowers (13-1) and Jonas Altberg (16-1) continue to hover on the periphery.

Stephanie Beacham was seen as a contender in the early days however she can now be backed at 18-1, while Stephen Baldwin (25-1) and Ivana Trump (49-1) have been given virtually no chance of success.

Betfair spokesman Ari Last said: "Vinnie is the stand-out favourite and, if the markets are to be believed, he'll need to do something very stupid if he's to throw this away now."
