Chelsea's preparations for the visit of West Ham have been rocked with the news that Hilario has joined Petr Cech on the sidelines.
It means Carlo Ancelotti will have to plunge Ross Turnbull into the starting line-up for a Premier League debut for the Blues.
The former Middlesbrough man has plenty of experience at top-flight level from his days on Teesside but he'll be put under examination by the Hammers.
Ancelotti has even hinted Petr Cech could yet be back for the Inter Milan tie on Tuesday, which would be ahead of schedule.
However, Turnbull may need to deputise again which could see punters getting behind Jose Mourinho's men.
“Cech is doing physiotherapy. He did not train on the pitch, so it’s very difficult for him to recover for Tuesday," said Ancelotti.
“Hilario had a problem against Stoke and has not been able to train this week.
"An Adductor muscle in his groin is the problem. On the bench will go Rhys Taylor, our young goalkeeper from the reserve team."
Ricardo Carvalho is out of Saturday's capital derby but will play against Inter.
