The Disengager went into my notebook when finishing third last time out and looks well worth an intertest at 9-1 in the 3.00 at Exeter today.
The six-year-old was two time point-to-point winner last season, and in his four runs over hurdles has shown bags of promise behind some useful types.
After finishing fourth to Jau at Herfeord on his debut, the gelding disappointed slightly when finishing 9th to Silver Kate at Chepstow but then fared much better when filling fifth spot behind the highly regarded Wishful Thinking at Hereford.
That run qualified him for handicaps, and off a mark of 95 he ran his best race yet when a staying on never nearer third to Lady Bling Bling at Kempton.
The winner has since franked the form by following up in style at Ludlow off 13lb higher mark, so given normal improvement The Disengager must have a huge chance today off an unchanged mark of just 95.
