Taranis ruled out of Gold Cup and Grand National

Taranis has been ruled out of the Cheltenham Gold Cup and John Smith's Grand National due to injury.

Paul Nicholls' nine-year-old, a genral 20-1 shot for the Gold Cup bvefore today's news broke, has suffered a fracture of a bony muscle attached to the femur just below the hip and will not race again this season.
