ITV4 have chosen an interesting game to kick off their Europa League coverage with holders Atletico Madrid making the trip to Greece to take on Aris Salonika. Not surprising in some respects the boys from Spain are touch of odds on in some lines this morning.
Madrid have made an impressive start to the new campaign in La Liga with wins away against Bilbao (2-1) and at home to Sporting Gijon (4-0). However they are taking on a Greek side that have an impressive record in this particular event. In fact in twenty home outings over course and distance in the Europa League Aris are unbeaten, winning 11 and drawing 10. Currently they are in eighth place in the league but there has only been 2 games.
On a form line through Panathinaikos, Madrid may have the advantage but the draw at 12/5 is statistical value given the Aris home record.
