Strong Suit, the current 6-1 ante-post favourite for next year's 2000 Guineas, put his unbeaten record on the line in the Group 1 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at The Curragh today (4.15).
Richard Hannon's colt is unbeaten in two starts and was last seen when showing a devastating turn of foot to land the Coventry at Royal Ascot.
He is a top priced 1-2 to land the hat-trick this afternoon, and Hannon has reported his star two-year-old to be in terrific shape.
"He worked fantastic up at Everleigh on Tuesday, and he goes to Ireland spot on. He has a bombproof temperament, which is a big plus on these big occasions, and nothing fazes him, " Hannon told his website.
"We gave him an easy week after Royal Ascot as he had a hardish race in the Coventry following all the scrimmaging, but he performed wonders to get up to win, and, though inevitably some people have knocked the form as the four who finished immediately behind us have all been beaten since, we know what our fellow can do."
