Steveys Lad looks an interesting contender in the 2.50 at Ffoss Las, and could be a bit of value at 11-2.
The seven-year-old is not devoid of ability as he showed when finsihing fifth of 15 to Get Me Out Of Here in a bumper at Uttoxeter.
He also ran quite well when finishing seventh of 12 to Menorah at Warwick and when coming fourth to Petroglyph on his handciap debut at Sedgefield.
On each occasion he has run as if needing a step up in trip, and he gets that today as well as first time cheekpieces.
This is a very weak event, and if that combination has the desired effect then Steveys Lad could prove to be very leneiently handicapped off a mark of just 81.
