Stamina For Sale & CS Sports Management Team Up

Tunde continues to plan for the future

(First Published: Wednesday 16th February 2011 at 16:20hrs GMT)

The forward thinking Stamina for Sale team continue to build their stable and this week are delighted to announce the signing of a deal to work in partnership with multi-national sports management firm, CS Sports Management.

With the first series of Camp 24 proving to be an unprecedented success, negotiations are already underway to stage a second outing in Manchester with a television deal in the pipeline. Despite starting 2011 at a ferocious pace, Tunde Ajayi, Carli Wheatley and the Stamina for Sale team refuse to rest on their laurels and this latest collaboration is aimed at protecting and nourishing future world champions.

“The Stamina for Sale team have been working tirelessly to make our vision of the future a reality and are making real progress on a daily basis but no one is looking to sit back and admire their work just yet, Tunde told us this week. I am extremely proud to announce our working partnership with Charles Collymore and his sports management company, CS Sports Management. I believe Charles and I have a shared dream for modernising boxing and can help each other meet our targets. It is the fighters themselves who will benefit most from this joint venture however”.

“CS Sports Management, who boast offices in London, Paris and Johanesburg, has a rich history of working closely with a number of leading figures from the world of football and major sports and is eager to transfer that success into professional boxing, Tunde continued. This sport’s history is littered with hard luck stories concerning fighters suffering from bad man management and rather more shameful stories of fighters making damaging financial decisions due to a lack of education and proper care. Stamina for Sale is desperate to put an end to that way of life however and ensure that our fighters are as protected outside of the ring as inside it. CS Sports Management offers that protection! They will guide fighters through a whole host of potential pitfalls, including legal advice concerning contracts, home ownership, tax returns, insurance, child care, IT support and fan website creation to name but a few. This will both educate our fighters and remove any hurdles in their way, allowing them to concentrate fully on training and winning fights. Far too many professional boxers are left juggling their careers and family life with running around trying to sell tickets and collect money, CS Sports Management lifting the weight from our boys will result in happy fighters and more successful fighters. This is only the first step to bring the noble art into line with the rest of the sporting world and is just another string to the Stamina for Sale bow”.

Despite achieving success working with big names such as Simon Jones, El Hadji Diouf, Eric Djemba Djemba, Madjid Bougherra, and leading clubs including Marseille, Stoke City and Middlesbrough, CS Sports Management are eager to make their mark in the professional boxing world and help the Stamina for Sale camp grow, as managing director Charles Collymore explained to me this afternoon.

“Tunde’s vision and drive is the reason I was so passionate about forming this partnership and we are extremely excited about making our mark. CS Sports Management will bring Tunde’s fighters a layer of sports management which will aid their progression both short term and over the lifespan of their careers. In the here and now they will notice our commitment to them and our assistance will allow them to achieve success in their chosen sport. Working within a prosperous environment created by Tunde and CS Sports Management will enable them to progress at their own pace and get a foothold in the rankings. Over the longer period it will be our job to help them get to title level and once there we will represent them in a number of fields including big money contract deals. We aim to grow with the fighters and make sure that they get the most out of their careers and I am extremely confident we can make a difference. Failure is not an option for us!”
