Solwhit is out to 11-1 on the exchanges after trainer Charles Byrnes today described his chances of making the Champion Hurdle line-up as "less than 50-50".
The six-year-old was pushed out to 5-1 second favourite behind Go Native after it scoping dirty yesterday morning, and things didn't improve this morning when the horse coughed four or five times.
Byrnes told the Racing Post said: "Solwhit coughed four or five times today. I more or less expected that to be the case, and that he would get worse before he gets better.
"He'd need to stop coughing by Thursday to have any chance of running. We'll see how the next few days go and will scope him again on Saturday when a decision will be made, but I'm not optimistic and I have to say his chances of travelling are less than 50-50 at this stage."
