John has been a hard man to track down this week, he has a busy agenda with his after dinner speeches rushing up and down the country, he is a very popular and interesting nights entertainer.
I managed to steal five minutes with him and here are his thoughts on Saturdays Matches.
Italy V Scotland up first, well you know my thoughts, I tipped Italy to Steal one this year, so I have marked this game for an Italian win, to be fair with seven out of seven games correct I have put my neck on the line. John does not agree and he has gone with the Scottish.
He said “ They will need to hold the Italian Scrum, but if they do that I feel they are a good team at the moment and will scrape home, I think it will be close and around a five point margin.”
England V Ireland next, I have gone for an Ireland fight back, again John has taken a different view and backed England.
John pointed out “ O’Driscoll has not been well this week and they are under pressure, it is at Twickenham and England still could go up a gear, it will be close, but it will be England by again around a five point margin”
We both went for France last night, so we were off to a good start, but only just, I will share my thoughts with you on that game this week.
