Sangfroid has shaped as if he is more than capable of landing a decent handicap on more than one occasion and looks terrific value at 9-1 in the 1.30 at Kempton today.
Nick Williams has his team in terrific form and Sangfroid has run with bags of promise on all three of his starts this season.
He went into my notebook after finishing a staying on fifth to Wolf Moon is a decent handicap at Cheltenham, but could never get competitive when last seen in a hot handicap at this track on Boxing Day.
The six-year-old was very heavily backed that day but appeared to run a bit flat and could finish only fifth to Lake Legend.
However he has been given a nice break since then to freshen him up, and given the fact that he goes particularly well with plenty of give underfoot, I fancy him to to make it fourth time lucky for his shrewd connections at odds that look extremely generous.
