Rooney 11-2 to be England head boy

(First Published: Monday 1st March 2010 at 15:27hrs GMT)

Wayne Rooney is 11/2 to score with his head against Egypt on Wednesday with bet365 and the firm are also betting on who will partner the in-form striker at the World Cup this summer.

Spokesman for the Stoke boys, Steve Freeth said: “We’re quite relieved that Antonio Valencia isn’t English or we’d be a lot shorter than 11/2!”

bet365 also have a market on who will partner Rooney against the USA in June and they’ve eased Emile Heskey on the back of Man Utd hitman scoring so many goals with his head.

“Wayne has obviously been working on his heading, not that our odds compilers noticed with that 10/1 quote against Villa, and maybe this could persuade Capello to ditch his preferred ‘big man – little man’ pairing for the game against the USA” added Freeth.
