The quarter-final line-up for the World Snooker Championship is now known, with six seeds filling the eight places, with Ronnie O'Sullivan the rock-solid 15-8 favourite following his gritty win over Mark Williams. But he still has his work cut out as he faces Mark Selby in the last eight in what should be another classic encounter.
With John Higgins and Ding Junhui both exiting the competition, Selby now finds himself clear second favourite at 4-1, with Neil Robertson 11-2 with Boylesports, along with Shaun Murphy at the same price.
Mark Allen is 9s and then comes what looks an over-priced Ali Carter at a massive 16-1 with Boylesports, given that he is in the opposite half of the draw to O'Sullivan and Selby and is after all the number four seed, which should count for something. And he's enjoyed a decent season thus far.
Graeme Dott is 22-1 and then the surprise package Steve Davis who can be backed at 40s with Skybet and Paddy Power, and who continues his quest against Robertson in the morning.
Sadly, puntinplay's selection Ding Junhui lost out to Murphy yesterday, who along with Selby seems to come alive at the Crucible despite not playing well in the lesser tournaments and it wouldn't surprise me to see the Premier League winner reach another final and could be worth a sniff at 11-2.
