Reds can go marching on, on on!

(First Published: Tuesday 20th September 2011 at 18:13hrs GMT)

The clash between Leeds and Manchester United is the highlight of tonight's Carling Cup action, and Sir Alex Ferguson will have revenge in mind when his side travel across the Pennines to Elland Road (7.45pm Ko, Live on Sky Sports 2).

There is certainly no love lost between the two side's, and United's 1-0 home defeat by Leeds in the FA Cup third round 18 months ago left a sour taste in the mouths of all Red Devils' fans.

Sir Alex will be eager to put matters right and maintain his side's fantastic start to the season.

They have been banging in goals for fun in the Premiership, and although the gaffer is set to play a whole load of youngsters such as Paul Pogba and Will Keane defeat looks out of the question.

Experienced strikers Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen are both expected to feature, and such is the stength of the United squad they should win whatever the starting XI.

United have won all four times they have played their arch rivals in this competition, so Victor Chandler are sure to have plenty of takers for their stanbdout 4/7 about a win for the reds.

However if betting long odds-on does not suit your bank wallet a small flutter on the first goalscorer and correct score markets could pay dividends.

Michael Owen is a general 5/1 to bag the opener, and that makes plenty of appeal, as does the 17/2 with Hills about a 2-0 win for United.
