Quickfire Kelly the each-way play

Jerry Kelly and Sean O'Hair are the initial fancies for the Sony Open which begins is Hawaii later today.
Kelly, the 34 year old from Madison, had a satisfactory 2009 with one victory and eight top ten finishes. He likes this event and finished third in 2008 and in the top 25 last year.
Kelly made a good start to the new campaign. At the SBS last week he got off to a flyer, firing rounds of 69 and 70 to be right up with the leaders at the half-way stage. The second half wasn't quite so pretty and matching 74's pushed the ever popular Kelly down to a finishing position of 23rd.
There is a random nature about some of these early tour events so that is why we like to look for value. Kelly can be a factor and his style of play generally means that he will start quickly if he is going to be in contention. This could lead to some puntinplay value. At around the 67 mark he is worth a small each-way play.
At shorter odds we will be looking at Sean O'Hair, who is a big favourite at puntinplay. We think that 2010 will be a massive year for O'Hair and he might be worth including in calculations at around the 19 mark.O'Hair finished fourth last week and whilst his track record at the event isn't great he did finish 12th last year and as we have said before, this father of three is very much on an upward curve.
