Punters on Betfair are backing India to win the Cricket World Cup Final ahead of Saturday’s match against Sri Lanka in Mumbai. Having seen off a steadfast Pakistan side in Wednesday’s semi, India are currently 4-7 to be crowned world champions.
The host nation are tipped to overcome England’s quarter-final conquerors Sri Lanka. Having been 9-2 second favourites at the start of the tournament in February, Kumar Sangakkara’s team are now 13-8 to win a second world cup trophy, following their triumph in 1996.
Come Saturday all eyes will be on superstar batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Having notched up 85 during India’s defeat of Pakistan, the record breaker is just 9-2 to score what would be his hundredth international century in the final.

“I think everyone in cricket, aside from the Sri Lankans of course, would love to see Sachin notch his hundredth ton at his home ground on the biggest stage, and there won’t be a dry eye in the house if he does.”
