Spain go into tonight's final quarter final game against Paraguay as the long odds on favourite but at puntinplay we are predicting a long night for the Euro 2008 Champions.
Spain made a poor start to the campaign with a shock defeat against Switzerland, who scored their only goal of the campaign against the pre-tournament favourites. Two victories against Honduras and Chile saw them through as group winners and a last sixteen clash against Iberian rivals Portugal. Ronaldo and co arrived in Cape Town and promptly parked the bus and challenged the Spanish to find a way round it. Through Villa they eventually did and ran out worthy winners although at times the defence looked suspect and Casillas isn't playing with confidence.
Paraguay have only conceded one goal so far and that was an equaliser for Italy in the first game. In the South American qualifying school they finished runners up to Brazil and apart from that team had the best defensive record. they were also one of only two teams to beat the samba boys.
Paraguay will attempt to play a tight defensive game and we can see this one being level at half-time (11/10) and wouldn't rule out a zip all draw at the end of ninety.
