Sheffield Wedneday travel to London today to take on Brentford in a game that could see them shoot four points clear at th top of Divsion One.
Wednesday have made a bright start to their new life in a lower league and remain unbeaten after four games. They have scored nine and only conceded one goal (away to Colchester) and the squad that was relegated on the last day against Crystal Palace has been improved with players drawn mainly from Championship sides. They have beaten Dagenham, Brighton and Hartlepool and drawn with Colchester. In the three games in which they collected three points they were winning at half time.
Brentford have made a poor start. They are bottom of the table and have only one point from four games, an away draw with Swindon. At home they have lost both games to Walsall and Rochdale but have been drawing at half time on both occasions. In the Carling Cup they have made the third round following a good win over Hull City.
Wednesday have good depth to their goalscorers and the summer signing Giles Coke has already bagged three. At 16/1 he looks over priced for the first goalscorer market.
In all probability Wednesday will be to good for Brentford and at odds against they rate a very strong selection. For the more risk adverse in terms of the staking plan Giles Coke is value at 16/1 and the Wednesday/Wednesday half time/full time at 12/5 aross the line represents strong statistical value.
