Sean O'Hair is a player we very much like at puntinplay and he could represent value in the Top American market which is of course dominated by Tiger Woods.
O'Hair hasn't really troubled the judge this year on tour but he has played consistently. In sixteen PGA events he has made the cut 13 times and finished in the top 25 on nine occasions. At the big ticket events he has performed really well. A top thirty in the Masters has been followed by 12th place at the US Open and 22nd spot in the Players Championship. Last time out at the AT&T he was tied 11th. He is in the best form of his season so far.
At 22/1 with Coral for the number one Yank we think there is some value based on the fact that he played St Andrews exceptionally well in 2005 and he has a relatively early kick-off tomorrow
Steve Marino, who performed really well in the wind at the Open last year is another outsider who could be value in this market, as long as he sets his alarm. He is due out at 6.30am and maybe a play for first round leader.
