Aidan O'Brien is looking at an autumn campaign for last year's champion two-year-old St Nicholas Abbey.
The high-class colt has been on the sidelines since suffering a setback after finishing sixth in the StanJames.com 2000 Guineas.
He is currently a top priced 14-1 for the Arc, for which his stable companion Fame And Glory is the 100-30 favourite.
O'Brien said: "He's back cantering. He hasn't worked yet but he's getting close. Everything is good, but we haven't picked a race because we want him to tell us when he's ready. We are looking at an autumn campaign."
