Neutrafa was disappointing last time out, but she had really impressed me when scoring previously and is definitely worth an interest at 18/1 to bounce back in the 4.30 at Mussleburgh.
John Mackie's filly shaped with bags of promise when fifth of 13 on her debut in a maiden at Ponterfract, and then bolted up by six lengths at Ripon three weeks ago.
She travelled ominously well throughout that 1m contest, and after hitting the front two from home forged clear to beat Quadrant easing down.
The runner-up has subsequently gone on land a maiden at Ffos Las by four lengths of an official rating of 78 and that made Neutrafa look potentially treated on her handicap debut at Sandown 11 days ago off an opening mark of just 76.
However nothing went right for her in the race, and it was to her credit that she was still in with a chance two from home after being forced very wide round the home bend.
She eventually weakend over a furlong from home and faded to finish 10th of 12 to Diverting, but to me it's easy to put a line through that run and she is defenitely worth another chnace to confirm the promise she showed when scoring at Ripon.
The handicapper has reacted by dropping her a pound to 75, and with Julie Burke taking off another 3lb there is little doubt in my mind that she is well handicapped.
At 18/1 with Stan James she looks far too big and has to be worth an each-way interest
Recommended bet: 2pts each-way Neutrafa (18/1 Stan James, 16/1 generally)
