Bayern Munich go into tonight's game against Fiorentina in superb form. They sit on top of the Bundesliga and Van Gaal, having been a regular in the pub beside last chance saloon, can hardly believe the transformation in the side.
They haven't chosen from the losers menu in eighteen games in the Bundesliga dating back to September and have won their last three in the Champions League including the 4-1 victory over Juve in December. They face a side who are not dining at the top table in Italy.
This is a massive game for Fiorentina but their form is on the poor side not very good. A defeat at home, against Juve on Saturday ,meant the Viola had won just one of their last nine games in Serie A.
"We need to turn the page and concentrate on the game against Bayern,'' said Prandelli the Fiorentina coach. "This is the most important game of our season. Bayern is a strong side but we will be ready.''
Bayern are not as strong as they would like and have some problems in defence at left back. However this is more than compensated by the return of Ribery and Robben. At puntinplay we think the game is set to suit the Germans and not only do we think they will make it through but at around the 2.5 mark (general) we think they can win in Italy tonight.
