Victor Chandler pushed Recital out to 10/1 from 8s for the Derby after finishing third behind Banimpire in the Gp 3 Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown earlier this afternoon. Impressive Maiden winner Quest For Peace was cut from 50s to 16/1
The winner was cut from 33s to 25s for both the 1000 Guineas and the Oaks.
VC spokesperson Charlie McCann said: “Recital was well backed for the Epsom classic this morning (10s into 8s) and was certainly given a very confident ride by Ryan Moore. Many of the Ballydoyle three-year-olds come on a bundle for their seasonal reappearance and we wouldn’t be surprised if Recital was next seen in one of the Derby trials; we have certainly not given up on the colt as a Derby contender. Ryan Moore gave Quest For Peace a more positive ride and he broke his maiden in most impressive fashion and is 16s from 50s for Epsom. ”
