PSV have had a fantastic season. In twenty three games in the Dutch Eredivisie they have yet to look at a losers menu and you can add six games in the Europa League to that total. Tonight they take on SV Hamburger of Bundesliga and Van Nistelrooy fame and can be backed at 5.5 to win the game and 3.75 to split the bill. On the face of it they look at bit of value, not though if you are the PSV coach Fred Rutten, who sounded quite depressed when he spoke to the Hamburger Abendblatt newspaper
"Of course we would have loved to have brought Ruud back home, but in the end he opted for HSV. We have got to accept his decision. He was a top player in Holland, a top player in England and he was a top player in Spain. Now he wants to give it a go in the Bundesliga. Ruud is a fantastic striker who can make the difference and I am looking forward to catching up with him again.''
Rutten also admitted that, having lost out to Hamburg in the race to sign Van Nistelrooy, he fears losing out to them once again over two legs.
"HSV are favourites, they have an incredible amount of potential. With such a team, they can challenge in the Bundesliga and in Europe right to the end and aim for titles.''
More Sven than Winston but we still give PSV a chance of maintaining thier unbeaten record and coming away with a draw. Wolfsberg managed it recently in the Bundesliga and Celtic played out a zip all draw in the qualifying stages.
The puntinplay is the draw but as this is a late kick-off check how Ajax and FC Twente do in their games as a guide to the PSV chances, before palcing a bet. FC Twente at home to Bremen in a six o'clock kick kick off should provide a strong pointer.
