A cracking supporting card at Nottingham tonight gives us a real opportunity to boost our bank following Elwick Chris' Laurels victory, tipped up at 20/1 ante post. Droopys Oscar, Jimmy Lollie and last Derby winner Bandicoot Tipoki are some of the canine stars on show. The final at 9.45 could go to Micky Robbie who will start a short priced favourite for a good draw on the fence. Our punting selections are below. We managed two from three last week. Let's go one better tonight!
8.00 - 680m
Slaneyside Mitch was a good winner over 730m last time out, and if keeping tabs early on will be a big player. However, I fancy Droopys Djokovic to serve it up to his rivals here for Jim Daly. A recent win over Romford's 750m and a decent trial over Wimbledon' six bend trip should have put him spot on for this. He has a chance of getting on the bunny and then turning the screw from halfway. This son of Westmead Hawk can be backed at a massive 5/1 with Ladbrokes.
8.15 - 500m
Andy Clarke's Milly Marina (nap) goes from trap 4 here. She ran a blinder for us last week when winning at Belle Vue over 470m, and this big gallop and extra 30m will be right up her street. If getting first run on Kildallon Bound, she can power off the final turn for a quick fire Sky meeting double. Take the 7/2 with VC.
8.35 - 305m
What a sprint this is! Rotar Wing and Slick Citi line up against champion sprinter Jimmy Lollie, who suffered a rare reverse at Henlow on Sunday, but I expect Seamus Cahill's Jimmy Lollie to bounce straight back with a victory from the red box here. The long run up and sweeping bend should see him swing off as usual but straighten up ok to upstage his rivals. He is odds against for once at a tasty 13/8 with VC
Selections:
8.00 Droopys Djokovic 5/1 with Ladbrokes
8.15 Milly Marina (nap) 7/2 with VC
8.35 Jimmy Lollie 13/8 with VC
