Millwall can justifiably claim a promotion this afternoon in their League One play-off final against Swindon. The Lions were the best team home and away in the semi-final against Huddersfield and the fact that they finished third in the league behind Norwich and Leeds would see as justifiable winners.
Millwall will have to make one change at the back as player of the year Alan Dunne is unavailable but otherwise Kenny Jackett has a full squad t choose from. Millwall beat Swindon 3-2 in the last game of the season to cement their play-off position by finishing third in the table. They had previously drawn with Danny Wilson's side in October.
At home Millwall were highly impressive with just one defeat all season and seventeen wins from 23 games. Wembley isn't the New Den but it isn't to far away and in terms of support it will seem like a home game.
Wilson has done a superb job getting Swindon this far. Charlton played they off the park in the final half of the second leg and look home and showered until a fluke goal forced extra time and penalties. Swindon will welcome back keeper Lucas who was injured against Charlton but the captain Gordon Greer is out.
Millwall have the form, desire and experience to win it today. They will have learnt from the final last year and at puntinplay we make them a good bet to do it in 90 minutes today. The best price on the washing line is 2.15.
