The Warriors travel to the Grattan Stadium to face the Bulls as they look to maintain their 100% start to the season, the only team in the league with that record still intact. Last week Wigan put Catalans to the sword in a 58-0 romp at the DW with Pat Richards scoring five of the Warriors ten tries while Bradford put in a poor quality performance beating Salford 7-0. Bradford hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Warriors, their only recent victory was last year out of the previous five encounters when they won 20-14. However fans may recall the playoff of 2007 when Bradford led 30-6 only for Wigan to pull off possibly one of the best and most remarkable playoff comebacks ever witnessed as they won 31-30.
The signs are looking good for Wigan; Michael Maguire has his team at peak fitness and they are experiencing one of their best starts to the season for a number of years (as short as 10/3 to back for the regular season). Wigan currently have both the best attack and defence record thus far this season and with a full strength squad that form can continue. They should comfortably cover the handicap (-6 available) but for something which may yield greater returns would be a Wigan win of between 1 to 12 points which pays 15/8 with Blue Square. Pat Richards has gone over the line in the last two outings at the Grattan and is 4/6 (Bet365) to go over again at anytime during the match. This game will also be Paul Deacon’s first game against his old club of which he spent 12 seasons there.
