Our usual look at Friday night opens at Romford, with three selections to get stuck into.
8.17, 575m - this is a hot maiden stayers contest where the fast starting Dalcash Scolari could cuase trouble heading for the rails from trap 5. Deanridge Rage will be a big player if skipping round in front from the red box, however there may be a value selection in the form of Kildallon Bound in trap 3. Pat Cowdrill's runner finished strongly last week, recording 36.20 after finding plenty of trouble. If the gaps appear she can loom large off the final bend to land the spoils.
9.20, 575m - Ballymac Rumble and Baron Pimlico landed our 5/1 double on Monday night, and this final looks a match between them. On the draw I favour Ballymac Rumble to get first run from trap 1. If Baron Pimlico can get first run from trap 6 it should be race on. These two runners could be big players for Romford's Champion Stakes which gets underway next week. Take the 6/4 on offer with Coral for Chris Allsopp's Ballymac Rumble (nap).
10.24, 575m - Centurion Enry let us down on Monday but that was through no fault of his own, as he found plenty of trouble in running. I wanted to be with him when he next turned out so tonight is the night. Wrong Answer will probably lead him around the first circuit, but if turning handy and gaining a clear run at the leader, he can assert around the final two bends to land this. Coral are offering 5/2 on the early prices.
