Marc Leishman the 26 year old Australian from Victoria is starting to make a name for himself on the PGA tour and we think he has been slightly over looked on the morning line as he is currently available at 33's with a number of firms.
Leishman hasn't won on the PGA tour in the two years he has been competing but he has posted some impressive results. This year for example he has made the cut in 13 of the 20 events he has taken part in and has finished in the top 25 on seven occasions. Included in the stats are a runner up berth in the second event of the season.
His recent form has been strong. He played well last week in the PGA Championship and posted a top 50 finish. Prior to that he had finished 16th in the The Greenbrier Classic, 60th in the Open and 7th at the AT&T. His only blemish since the beginning of July has been missing the cut in the John Deere Classic, after a poor second round.
The Wyndham doesn't really have the quality of some of those events and many of the leading players have taken the week off. Leishman is ideally positioned just four shots off the lead having carded bogey free rounds of 66 (-4) on days one and two. At 33/1 with Bet365 we fancy the Aussie to at least make the frame and possibly win his first PGA event.
