Stoke City are a tough side to beat at the Britannia Stadium and at puntinplay we think they will get a result against Villa tomorrow in what will be an intriguing clash.
City have a very fair home record and it gets better if you take away Chelsea, United and Arsenal who have provided three of the four defeats this season. Last time out on home turf ,against Arsenal, they were holding their own until the “incident” and they again performed well in the Cup at Chelsea. A draw away to Burnley was flattering for the Premiership strugglers on Wednesday.
Villa still have an unblinking eye on the fourth spot and are also on an impressive run. Whilst they have only lost three road games this season, two of those were against Blackburn and West Ham. The third against Arsenal was less surprising and it did come four games ago.The slight concern with Villa is that because of their Cup runs they may suffer in the Premier League. There is no evidence of this as yet but the jury is still out.
We think that at a shade of odds against Villa are a lay and if you don't attend that particular church then the draw is the option. We like 2-2 at 17 with Sporting Bet.
