FC Koln have a great away record for a team struggling toward the wrong end of the Bundesliga. The last time they tasted defeat was away to Hamburger at the end of August. Since then they have gone seven road matches undefeated.
As has been well document they don't score that many, seven in nine away games and nearly half of those came against Wolfsberg last week. They are a team on a real upward curve, as the coach promised at the half way stage of the season, the Billy Goats , have only lost one in six and that was against Dortmund. Koln will be without Lukas Podolski for up to a month with a back problem while Milivoje Novakovic was unable to train for the first half of the week having missed out against Wolfsburg last weekend. The latter did return to training yesterday and is a candidate to play tomorrow, as is the club's new signing Zoran Tosic, who has joined on loan until the end of the season from Manchester United.
"He is definitely going to be in the squad, but a start may be a bit too early,'' revealed Cologne coach Zvonimir Soldo.
Frankfurt are a solid home side and have only lost two at home. They have drawn and won four matches and recently landed a 1-0 home victory against Bremen.
At 3.75 FC Koln look a reasonable puntinplay, but the advice is to lay Frankfurt at about the 2.1 mark or back the draw. For the correct score jockeys look for a low scorer. 10 is available for 0-0 and that is the play.
