Klitschko - too big, too strong, too good!

(First Published: Thursday 1st September 2011 at 15:32hrs GMT)

The WBC title is on the line a week tomorrow (Sept 10) when the elder Vitali Klitschko travels to Tomasz Adameks backyard in Poland to defend his crown.

This will not faze Vitali as this fight is considered a decent money spinning event but Adamek is far too small to be considered a legitimate threat to the champ.

Adamek has risen from light heavyweight and taken advantage of the lack of talent pool within the Heavyweights at the moment, back in 2007 he was demolished for a large majority of the fight against Chad Dawson I never would have imagined that he would be here today fighting as a deserved challenger for the world heavyweight crown.

He has taken some good scalps along the way, knocking down current cruiserweight kingpin Steve Cunningham three times along the way to a lopsided unanimous decision.

He also holds a decent win against Chris Arreola and has proved he is a tough opponent with a good skill set. Although he doesn’t do anything spectacular I can pretty much guarantee he will turn up in very good shape and show a ton of heart in front of his own fans.

However he faces a man who baring the great (well he was wasn’t he ?) Lennox Lewis (and the injured shoulder whoops) has convincingly beaten and dominated every man put in front of him.

His CV is a who’s who of current heavyweight boxing, and whilst he is looking older and slowing down a little this isn’t a reason why he shouldn't beat an opponent giving away 6 inches in height, 5 inches in reach and about 30lbs in weight.

Too big, too strong and just too good is the view from this camp and I believe a stoppage is maximum bet material.

It’s not a great price there’s no point trying to get clever and seeing if I can nail the round.

Recommended bet (scale 1-3):

3pts win Klitschko by Ko/TKo or DQ - 8-13 Boylesports, VC and Coral
