Apart from one notable absentee it is a really strong field for the Golf tournament with the long name that starts in America today.
It is of course a match-play event and as such this for the Americans is the golf equivalent of our FA Cup, but you know the draw in advance. There is strong European representation and there will be plenty of money for Mcilroy and Westwood but based on his return from injury and his performances in Dubai Kaymer looks the value at 21 with Bet365 this morning.
Geoff Ogilvy is the player with course and distance form. He has won it twice and finished third once. Steve Stricker is flying at the moment but this looks a terribly difficult event with no gimme quarters. Kaymer for instance, if he beats Campbell (who has a good first round record) would probably face Tim Clarke followed by Garcia and Mcilroy before a semi-final slot.
Kaymer is the each-way selection.
