Shakhtar Donetsk, who face Fulham in the "round of 32" stage of the Europa Cup have made their first purchase of the winter window with the signing of another boy from Brazil. Alex Teixeria joins a growing band of ex-pats that includes Jadson, Adriano, Fernandinho, Willian and Ilsinho.
The attacking midfielder, aged 19, has signed a five year contract for a fee in the region of 6m Euro. Teixeira joines from Vasco Da Gama where he scored 10 goals in fifty games.
Fulham play the home leg against Shakhtar on the 18th February. The boys from West London remain a top priced 66/1 for the competition. The boys from Brazil are 14/1.
