Juan Carlos Ferrero did the puntinplay followers a favour with victory on Saturday night; although his opponent retired he was well on top. In his fourth round match today he takes on the Serbian Janko Tipsarevic, who has climbed to number 20 in the World and has been in fair form on the hard court swing in the US this summer.
He made the semi-final in Montreal before losing to Mardy Fish and the quarter final in Washington going out against Monfils. He has only dropped one set in New York and was well on top when Berdych quit in their third round match. He had also beaten Berdych in Montreal.
Ferrero does hold a two nil lead on the head to head stakes and after a season that has been plagued by injury Ferrero is making up for lost time. He looks to have an outstanding chance today and 2/1 seems a very fair price.
