David Toms is in outstanding form. He went very close in the PGA finishing with a 65 and a 67 in the final two rounds. This followed a 9th in the Bridgestone Invitational and a top 20 finish in the Travelers. Earlier this season he won the CrownPlaza invitational and lost the Players Championship in extra time.
The week he takes on the Wyndham leg of the PGA tour and he must have an outstanding chance. He is the early puntinplay but only Paddy Power have priced up the event. There will probably be bigger than 12/1 but 14/1 would represent exceptional value for a player who finished second in the event last year. He is an early puntinplay as he opened the event last year with a 64. The other player we like the look of is another veteran Jim Furyk who has had a poor season by his high standards. Last week at the PGA he shot a couple of eye catching rounds. He might be on the way back.
