Godolphin's leading Stan.James.com 2000 Guineas hope Kingsfort will miss the race after suffering a setback.
The War Chant colt, who was snapped up by the boys in blue after winning the group 1 National Stake son his second start, was a general 14-1 shot for the first classic of the season on May 1.
But Godlophin's Racing manager Simon Crisford revealed today that the colt had suffered an injury which will rule him out of action until the second half of the season.
Aidan O'brien's St Nicholas Abbey is now a top priced 9-4 favourite for the 2000 Guineas, with Canford Cliffs continuing to attract support at 7s.
