My son Michael runs Gloucester in the 3.30 at Bangor-on-Dee, and I am hopeful that he will run a huge race - providing the rains stay away.
The horse has run with credit in whole host of top class races, finishing second in the Scottish Champion Hurdle and last time out running a cracker to finish seventh in the Galway Hurdle.
This race looks alot easier on paper, and he is better going left handed so there must be grounds for optimism.
My other son Thomas, who rides him this afternooon, also gets on extremely well with him.
The only fly in the ointment is the ground, as he only just stays two miles.
If the ground is no worse than good he looks sure to take all the beating. But any rain would obviously effect his chances so fingers crossed that it stays away - at least until after 3.30!
*Gloucester is currently a top priced 7-1
