Defending world champion John Higgins has drifted out to 6-1 for the Crucible crown following a tough first session against six-time winner Steve Davis in their second round encounter.
After defeating Barry Hawkins in round one, Higgins has strengthened in to 7-2 in places, but Boylesports, extrabet and sportingbet have all added a point to his outright price following an unimpressive session in which he trails 6-2.
Ronnie O'Sullivan remains the firm 3-1 favourite – 7-2 with Boylesports and extrabet – while Mark Selby has been cut from around the 9-1 mark to 5-1 with Skybet and William Hill.
Puntinplay's pre-tournament tip, 9-1 Ding Junhui, has hardened into 6s after an impressive 10-1 win over Stuart Pettman – a scored that was recommended at 22-1 – while the 500-1 on Davis winning his seventh crown have shrunk to as low as 50s with William Hill.
