Nicky Henderson sends a strong team to Huntingdon today, and I fancy him to come away with a double courtesy of Ryde Back and Your The Top.
Ryde Back has some decent bumper form and impressed me when scoring at this track on her hurdling debut. She was slightly disappointing when subsequently finishing fourth at Fontwell, but didn't hurdle well that day and is worth another chance to confirm her initial promise in the opener (2.00)
You're The Top was a very decent hurdler and ratteld up a hat-trick of victories over the smaller obstacles before making a successful chasing debut at Kempton back in November.
He jumped well that day apart from a mistake at the sixth and stayed on strongly to beat I Have Dreamed by four and a half lengths.
That run suggested that he would win plenty more chases, and he was far from disgraced when next seen on the track in February when finishing thrid to Tazbar in a very hot contest at Doncaster.
He was eventually beaten 19 lengths by Keith Reveley's stable star, but he did make a bad mistake at the second last and the way he weakened suggested the 2m 3f trip may have been stretching his stamina.
Connections have wasted no time in dropping him back to two miles, and it's interesting that Barry Geraghty has chosen to ride him rather than Tanks For That in the 3.05.
Barry's a great judge, and I think he has made the right choice.
*Ryde Back is currently a top priced 5-2 whilst You're The Top can be backed at 4-6. The double pays 4.83-1
*Scu continued his run of fine form yesterday when Hidden Keel, advised at 9-4, scored at an SP of 11-10
