Victor Chandler today priced up the chances of the four Welsh clubs making the quarter finals of the Heineken Cup. They make it a 200/1 chance that the Blues, the Ospreys, the Scarlets and the Gwent Dragons get through their groups, and a much shorter price of 6/4 that none of them make it.
"Both the Ospreys and the Blues made it last year, but we are not confident that two will make it this time around" said VC rugby spokesman Colin Dyer. "The Welsh clubs are not exactly setting the rugby world alight at the moment, but things could change as the season progresses. Maybe the Heineken Cup will stimulate them to up their game."
Victor Chandler make just one Welsh side in the quarter finals the 6/4 joint favourite, and the chances of two making it is a 5/2 shot. Three sides in the hat is 16/1.
