Hazy Oaks is yet to finish out of the frame in four runs at Catterick, and looks decent value at 10-1 to finally get her head in front where it matters in the 2.50 today.
The seven-year-old is still a maiden over the obstacles, but showed a weclome return to form last time out when doing all her best work in the closing stages to finish third to Cat Six at this track.
That race was over 2m, and the extra three furlongs today should play to her strengths and hopefully bring about a bit more improvement.
The mare has run all her best races at Catterick, and finished placed three times between January and March last season of marks of 90 and 95.
She is now running of just 88, and connections have found a very weak race for her to potentially exploit her handicap mark.
Half of her her opponents have little or no form, and even those at the head of the market have questions to answer.
I had Hazy Oaks in on my tissue at around the 7-1 mark, so at 10-1 she looks a real bity of value and has to be worth an each-way punt with the old enemy paying 1/4 odds 1,2,3,4.
Recommended bet: 3pts each-way Hazy Oaks (10-1 Sportingbet)
