It is the North East versus North London this afternoon as Arsenal entertain Sunderland and Spurs have a road game against Newcastle. Taking the 2/5 Arsenal doesn’t look that appetising but the Newcastle game is of interest.
Under Alan Pardew United have been the surprise package of the Premier League season so far. Seven matches played and they have yet to order of the losers menu. However they have had a good set of matches. Apart from the zip all draw at home to the Gunners on the opening day Newcastle have beaten Wolves, Blackburn, Fulham and Sunderland and drawn with QPR and Aston Villa. The match against an in form Spurs will be a very different test.
Harry’s team after a less than convincing start have won four on the spin. Beating Wolves and Wigan away and taking the scalps of Liverpool and Arsenal at White Hart Lane.
The draw is appealing at 12/5 but Spurs will have the ambition for three points and we can see them coming them back to North London tonight. VCbet are 8/5 and they also go 16/1 Modric to be the first goalscorer, which is far too big given his from of late. Two of the last four head to heads have finished 2-1 and that is the suggested correct score in favour of the away side at a top price of 10/1 with 32 Red.
