The going for the John Smith's Grand National was this morning described described as good to soft, good in places after Aintree officials watered the track after racing yesterday.
That is a slight change from the overnight report of good to soft, while the going on the Midlmay and hurdle courses is good, good to soft in places from good.
However with the course currently bathed in sunshine and temperatures expected to reach 18c, puntinplay are predciting that the going will be good by the time the big race gets underway at 4.15pm.
