My son Thomas rides a nice horse called Good Tack in the bumper at Hereford tonight (8.10) and he looks sure to take all the beating.
Trained by Richard Fahey, the gelding has had just one start under rules when finishing a very promising fourth to Eastern Supreme in a similar event at Market Rasen last September.
He was held up that day and made smooth headway to challenge two from home before weakening in the closing stages to be beaten just over nine lengths.
The five-year-old looks the type who will improve significantly this season, and his handler seems to have found a nice opportunity for him to open his account.
*Good Tack is currently a top priced 7-2
*Scu was bang on the mark yesterday when Rip Van Winkle, advised at 9-4, ran out the brilliant 7-4 winner of the Juddmonte International at York
