Marin Cilic takes the new Aussie sensation Bernard Tomic this afternoon and looking at the washing line the layers think it will be close.
Cilic has been out of form but is gradually returning to the form that saw him on the fringes of the top ten. He is currently ranked number 28. Tomic is ranked number 60 but is making progress up the charts. He has played well on the US swing without making to much progress but he has taken Benneteau to a decider in Cincinnati and pushed T’songa all the way in Montreal.
Cilic looks fair value at 4/6 to confirm the superiority of their only head to head at the Aussie Open 2010, where he beat Tomic on the way to a semi-final. However that victory went to the “take the fifth” and we can see history repeating itself.
The 8/15 with bet365 on the over 3.5 sets market looks the wrong price to the puntinplay team by a considerable margin (we think it is a 1/3 chance). If you want to be specific Skybet go 5/2 exactly five sets but we prefer the shorter price.
